QUALITY MANAGEMENT

We continuously review the chemical and technical processes involved in our product manufacturing, in order to maintain the high quality standards we demand of our end products. In order to ensure longstanding customer satisfaction, we also provide expert advisory services and customer tailored support by our technical service teams and our highly motivated sales staff.

Of course, our production facilities maintain an ISO 9002 or ISO 9001 certification which has been regularly renewed. Furthermore, Solvay Barium Strontium GmbH was certified ISO 14001 in 1998.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

A key point in our strategy is the developement of new technologies and new products.

Research and development activities take place in the own research laboratories at Bad Hönningen, at Massa, in the corporate research facilities in Brussels, in other group laboratories as well as in external institutes.

For specific developments we are cooperating with customers. Following these cooperations, intensive and long lasting relationships could be established.

The number of successful developments and the consequent growth of business are confirming that we have taken the right way.

ECOLOGY

Solvay has committed itself to the Responsible Care Program, the chemical industry's voluntary committment to constant improvements in performance with regard to health, safety and environmental protection.

The SBU Solvay Barium Strontium invests regularly substantial amounts in environmental protection and in safety and health for the workers.
