Mining Industry-Flotation

Sodium sulphide can be used as an activator in the froth flotation process permitting better mineral attachment to the collectors.
Consequently, the quantity of chemical used in the process as well as the recovery yield of the mineral concentrated are optimized through the use of Solvay Sodium Sulphide.
Sodium Sulphide can also be used as a depressant in the froth flotation of copper molybdenum ore. Sodium Sulphide is added to the flotation cells in order to suppress the flotation of copper, thus yielding concentrated copper-free molybdenum.
